Speech and Language Pathologist

Tori is a school-based speech-language pathologist who enjoys providing teletherapy to Crossroads clients after school and throughout the summer. She received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Illinois State University in December of 2017 and her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in August of 2020. Tori holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a Professional Educator License (PEL) in the state of Illinois. She has experience working with children of all ages, as she works with pre-K to 2nd grade, high school, and young adult (up to age 22) students with varying backgrounds and disabilities in the school setting. She strives to make therapy individualized, motivating, and fun to help her clients build confidence and progress toward their goals. She prioritizes building relationships with both her clients and their families to promote carryover outside of the therapy setting.
Tori has completed evaluations and provided treatment addressing the following areas: receptive and expressive language, speech sound disorders (delays in articulation and phonology), fluency, pragmatics, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), listening and spoken language skills impacted by hearing loss, and functional communication. She particularly enjoys working with students with disabilities and/or hearing loss. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching sports, and spending time outside in the summer.
