Stephanie Kovacs

M.S. OTR/L
Occupational Therapist

About

Stephanie is an experienced Outpatient Pediatric Occupational Therapist with a passion for the field of Pediatrics, supporting families of children with disabilities, and being involved in the special needs community. From a treatment perspective, she is focused on being patient and family-centered as an evidence-based approach to drive therapeutic outcomes and believes very deeply that therapy should be approached holistically, in a way that truly supports the individual and their family.

She graduated with her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina and has worked almost exclusively in adolescent mental health and outpatient pediatric
therapy settings. A passionate and avid learner, she holds an advanced level practitioner certification in DIR Floortime, is a Star Institute Advanced Mentored Clinician in Sensory Processing Disorder, is certified in the Sensory Integration series through Spiral Foundation, and holds a certification in the Ayres’ Sensory Integration Theory, Assessment, and Treatment program through the University of Southern California. She also has a variety of training and experience in the following areas: Integrated Listening Systems, trauma-informed care, bowel/bladder, and toileting, and feeding difficulties.

She loves being present in all the silly and fun moments and memories kiddos share with us, the feel of a relaxing yoga class and a trip to the farmer’s market, snuggling on the couch with her pugs Sloppy Joe and Cheez Whiz, and traveling with her husband and family.
