Sarah McAlister

Katie, Founder and Director of Crossroads Speech Therapy, located in West Lakeview in Chicago, IL offers diagnostic individualized Therapeutic and Consultative services to children from their first year of life through adulthood. Katie has been licensed and practicing since 2008 and has extensive experience treating children and adults with speech and language delays and disorders. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and hearing Science at the University of Illinois in 2006 and her Master’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Saint Louis University in 2008.

Alex is an outgoing and enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist who holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence. She completed both her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and loves being back in the Windy City. Alex is a bilingual speech therapist and she leads sessions in both Russian and English.

Lauren received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Washington University in St Louis and her Bachelor of Science in Community Health at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She is Early Intervention credentialed through the state of Illinois to provide occupational therapy services to children ages 0-3 years and their families. Lauren has clinical experience working with infants, children, and adults with diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, learning disabilities, trauma, and many others.

Quinn is a licensed speech-language pathologist. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Iowa and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Saint Louis University.
She has a wide range of experience working with children through the Early Intervention program, preschool and daycare aged children, and elementary/middle school-aged children.

Abby is an enthusiastic speech-language pathologist who is dedicated to helping children of all ages improve their communication skills. She has evaluated and treated children in a variety of settings including early intervention, preschool through high school, outpatient clinics, therapeutic schools, private practices, and hospitals.

Courtney, a passionate occupational therapist, and mother herself, is committed to helping children address their physical, social, and emotional development as well as cognition and sensory processing skills. Her goal is to enhance children’s independent participation in daily life. She is driven to help children achieve these milestones and goals by following their lead and acknowledging their interests.

Stephanie is an experienced Outpatient Pediatric Occupational Therapist. She has a passion for the field of Pediatrics, supporting families of children with disabilities, and being involved in the special needs
community. Stephanie graduated with her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina, and has worked almost exclusively in the adolescent mental health and outpatient pediatric therapy settings.

Alexa is a licensed speech-language pathologist who is passionate about improving communication abilities in children of all ages and backgrounds as well as adults. She has extensive experience treating developmental disorders, Autism, receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation/phonological impairments, childhood apraxia of speech, pragmatic language disorders, fluency disorders, and improving non-verbal communication through Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.

Sara is a licensed speech-language pathologist who grew up in Cincinnati. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Linguistics from Washington University in St. Louis and her Master’s Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences and Disorders from the Ohio State University. Sara is PROMPT Level One certified and is a certified Early Intervention Provider and Evaluator.

Jaime has well-rounded pediatric experiences with children of all ages including a wide range of disabilities, backgrounds, and cultures. She has provided treatment for speech and language in areas such as expressive language, receptive language, articulation, fluency, and pragmatics.  Jaime values building a strong rapport with the families she works with and encourages family involvement to enhance the child’s skills and growth. 

Ellie is a full time speech and language pathologist and excited to be treating children in the Chicagoland area. She attended University of Illinois for undergraduate and graduate school. She has experience working with children of various ages and diagnoses including swallowing disorders, picky eaters, expressive/receptive language delays, phonological and articulation disorders, fluency disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Audrey has a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Ohio University-Athens.

Andria is a personable and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who is passionate about providing excellent care in a unique way for families and children. Andria has experience with both children and adults in a variety of settings and her goal is to help her clients in a way that is meaningful to them and focuses on their interests and goals.

Charlotte earned her Master’s of Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she graduated Cum Laude with honors. She has a background working with Sensory Processing Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and various learning disabilities.

Rachel has her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Western Illinois University. Rachel treats and evaluates individuals with articulation and phonological disorders, language disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and pragmatic language disorders. She also has experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disabilities, specific learning disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and Down Syndrome.

Kaitlin received her bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation sciences with a minor in disability and human development from the University of Illinois at Chicago and received her doctorate degree in occupational therapy from Midwestern University in Downers Grove. She has a wide range of experience working with both children and adults with varying diagnoses in different practice settings.

Mary Kate is a licensed speech-language pathologist who has worked with children ranging from preschool to high school age. Mary Kate is experienced in providing services to children with expressive and receptive language disorders, articulation disorders, pragmatic disorders, developmental delays (DD), and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Caitlin is a speech-language pathologist from the Chicago suburbs and has extensive knowledge working with children with expressive and receptive language disorders, social communication language disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, selective mutism, articulation and phonology disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and fluency disorders.

Lainie received her Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and her Master’s degree from Rush University. She has worked with the pediatric population in a variety of settings including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, school, private clinic, and via teletherapy.

Katie received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and her Master’s degree from Northwestern University. She has experience working with children of all ages through adulthood. She is especially passionate about working with children with receptive and expressive language disorders, fluency, social-pragmatic communication, articulation, and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Hope has a Master’s degree from Northwestern University, prior to that she studied Theatre and PR at Loyola University Chicago.
Hope’s unique background influences her treatment style, which places play at the center of every session! She has worked with clients seeking services related to receptive and expressive language, fluency, literacy, autism, apraxia of speech, voice, executive function, articulation, and more.

Katie Clancy M.S., CCC-SLP: Katie received her Bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University and her Master’s degree from Northwestern University. She has experience with children of all ages through adulthood.

Alayna is a licensed speech-language pathologist who is passionate about working with preschool and school aged children. She has experience providing intervention to individuals with speech and language delay, phonological and articulation impairments, receptive and expressive language disorders, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and fluency disorders.

Claudia is a licensed speech-language pathologist who holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence and Professional Educator License.
She received her undergraduate degree from Marquette University and her Master’s degree from Midwestern University. Claudia believes in play-based therapy for children while working on functional and life-skill goals for adults.

Rocio is a bilingual licensed speech-language pathologist. Rocio is fluent in Spanish and English. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University, completed a post-baccauleraute program from Longwood University, and obtained her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Saint Xavier University.

Jamie Sue has been a practicing pediatric speech-language pathologist since 2004. She has been trained in a variety of therapy techniques, including: Beckman Oral Motor, D.I.R. Floortime, LAMP, PROMPT Level 1, Lindamood-Bell’s Visualizing and Verbalizing and LIPS, and the Hanen Programs, “It Takes Two to Talk” and “More Than Words”.

Christie has experience working with all ages from birth through 109 years young. She has extensive experience working with children who have needs ranging from early language delays, fluency (stuttering), apraxia, pragmatics and social language, articulation, AAC, expressive language and receptive language disorders, craniofacial and resonance disorders, and more.

Abby received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Northern Michigan University, and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Grand Valley University. She holds an Illinois State License as well as a Professional Educators License. Abby has carried out therapy for children with language delays and disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, pragmatic language disorders, apraxia of speech, fluency disorders, autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, and hearing loss.

Katie has experience evaluating and treating a wide range of diagnoses in the areas of expressive and receptive language, articulation and phonology, fluency, and pragmatics. Katie currently holds her American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence, IL State Speech-Language Pathology License, and Professional Educator License (PEL) in the state of IL.

Emilie has a wide range of experience working with children in the public school system, preschool, and daycare-aged children, and elementary/middle school-aged children. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Illinois State University and her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Illinois State University. Emilie holds her ASHA certification and has a Professional Educators License (PEL) in the state of Illinois.

Kayla is a licensed speech-language pathologist and a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Saint Xavier University and earned her Graduate degree from Governors State University in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Nicole received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of California, Riverside. She attended a post-baccalaureate program for certification in Communication Science in Disorders at Chapman University and received her Master’s degree at Northwestern University.

Carrie is a licensed speech-language pathologist in the state of Illinois and a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Michigan University. Carrie has 7 years of experience as a speech-language pathologist and has worked with the pediatric population in the public school, therapeutic school, and private speech settings.

Nainee loves working with preschool and elementary-aged children with a variety of speech and language needs and/or a variety of disabilities She has extensive experience with children who have needs ranging from early language delays, fluency (stuttering), apraxia, pragmatics/social language, articulation, AAC, expressive and receptive language delays, and more.

Sarah is a licensed speech-language pathologist who is skilled in working with school-aged children. She graduated with her undergraduate degree from Biola University in Los Angeles before moving to Chicago to pursue her graduate degree from Rush University and has experience working in the public school and private practice setting.

Shana earned a bachelor’s of social work from The University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s of science from Northwestern University.  Shana has experience working with persistent articulation disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), expressive and receptive language delays and disorders, pragmatic language disorders, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). 

Elle is a licensed speech-language pathologist who has evaluated and treated children across a range of settings, including preschool through junior high school, private practice, and hospitals.
Elle has extensive experience working on multidisciplinary teams to treat children with speech and language disorders.

Monica is a licensed speech-language pathologist who has experience working with preschool and elementary-aged children. She has provided intervention to individuals with receptive/expressive language disorders, articulation impairments, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental delay (DD), fluency disorders, and pragmatic deficits.

Carolyn graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She received her Master’s of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Grand Valley State University. Carolyn began her clinical experience working within the Early Intervention Program, school settings, (K–high school grade levels), as well as private practice.

Stacey has been practicing as a speech-language pathologist for eleven years in home, school, community, clinical, and teletherapy settings. While experienced in treating a variety of delays and disorders, she has a particular interest in language-based impairments and early language development.
