About

Rocio is a bilingual licensed speech-language pathologist. Rocio is fluent in Spanish and English. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University, completed a post-baccauleraute program from Longwood University, and obtained her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Saint Xavier University. Rocio has clinical experiences with evaluating and treating individuals across the lifespan. Areas of evaluation and treatment include speech-sound production disorders, receptive/expressive language disorders, fluency, and acquired language disorders. Since Rocio is bilingual, she enjoys treating children who speak English and Spanish. She has the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the Professional Educator License (PEL) from the state of Illinois. Rocio enjoys working with children and their families and building relationships. Through her work, she enjoys creating a space for students and families to feel supported, acknowledged, and empowered.

When she is not working, Rocio enjoys meal prepping, exercising, and spending time with her poodle.
