About

Rachel is a licensed speech-language pathologist. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology at Western Illinois University. Rachel works for the public school system servicing preschool and middle school students. She is experienced working with the birth to three population. She treats and evaluates individuals with articulation and phonological disorders, language disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and pragmatic language disorders. Rachel has experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disabilities, specific learning disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, and Down Syndrome. Rachel believes everyone has the ability to communicate- we just need to find their voice, whether it is through verbal language, sign language, or augmentative-alternative communication. She is also a strong believer in parent involvement and communication to ensure success outside the therapy room! In her free time, Rachel enjoys reading, hanging out by a pool, and working out.

 

Rachel holds her ASHA certification and Professional Educators License in the state of Illinois.
