Cassie is a passionate and dedicated occupational therapist who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Kentucky and received her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Kettering College. She utilizes a client-centered, playful, and collaborative approach to promote her patients’ independence and confidence in the activities that matter most to them. She thrives on building meaningful relationships with her patients and their families, creating a welcoming space where kids feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow. Throughout her career, Cassie has supported children with a diverse range of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), Down Syndrome, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and various developmental and intellectual disabilities. While she values working with children of all abilities, she is especially drawn to helping those with challenges in sensory processing, emotional regulation, and executive functioning. Her clinical interest in sensory and emotional regulation has led her to develop expertise through hands-on work and program development opportunities, including developing a pediatric aquatic OT program for children with ASD and CP at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and creating a mental health OT curriculum for Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs during her Doctoral Capstone Experience. Outside of her professional life, Cassie enjoys reading by the lake, exploring the city, spending quality time with friends and family, and playing with her dog, Frankie.
