Abby is a passionate pediatric occupational therapist who values providing fun, client-centered care to help her clients achieve their goals. She has experience working with a variety of populations, including children with autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, sensory processing disorder, learning disabilities, Jacob’s syndrome, DiGeorge syndrome, and a variety of developmental and neurological conditions. Abby is committed to providing evidence-based, neuro-affirming care to all of her clients and working collaboratively with their families.
Abby earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Well-Being with a minor in Psychology from West Virginia University and her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Elmhurst University, graduating Summa Cum Laude from both universities. While at Elmhurst University, Abby contributed to a research project as a graduate research student, examining changes in perceptions of neurodivergent individuals following exposure to a storytelling exhibit. Findings from this research were presented at both ILOTA and AOTA. Additionally, she completed a project examining the efficacy of swings in pediatric therapy and their use in pediatric clinics. In her free time, Abby enjoys cooking, running, exploring Chicago’s zoos and museums, and spending time with her friends and family.
